Cutting to the beat

For this task i had to choose a video, I chose a video that is one shot so it was easy for me to cut it with many different clips. I then chose my song which was the Icarly theme song as it had a obvious beat. I then cut my video to each beat of the song maybe it cut to every beat and then every other beat and even the video have repeats one after the other. I used final cut to do this all on and used youtube convertor to convert the video and song onto final cut.

    The task was to create a video and cut to the beat of the song. We had to find a video of your choice off the internet and then find any song and then edit it so the music video fits with the beat of the song. This was a long task for me as the beat was very fast and I had to make sure that every clip changed at the change of the beat of the song. I learnt that you need to make sure the clip hits the beat otherwise the whole video could be out of time and then doesn't fit to the beat. This will help me in future production to understand how to cut to each beat. I learnt new tools which I havnt of used before to cut and edit each bit of the video to get to the beat of the song. Altogether I only used around 6 different clips with this task on final cut as I just repeated them all.
