About Dreamville Record Company

For this task I researched into Dreamville Records label, I looked into who represents them, supports them and what do they do and the organisation that they support which J.Cole found. I presented this all on a prezi and added visual pictures to get more of an idea about what they do.

    You have some good information within this but what specifically did you learn from completing this task? Why is the information important? How will this information help you in the future production of your music video?

      I learnt from this task what Dreamville records to and what they try to promote and how they do this, this is good as it gives us an insight on how to promote out music video and Dreamville records works within the same genre that our music video is based on. The information is important as the artist that we chose the song of belongs to Dreamville records so this helps us to figure out how they distributed the song in the first place. The fact there was a charity linked to this all can help us for future selling to add some sort of link to our music video even if its a charity day and not charity company.

This was challenging to me as it took me a while to understand how to use this tool. I have included the original time line of what my group and i came up with at the start before putting it into a proper tool. This will help me as I know exactly what I have to do and when I have to do it for and puts it into place and much more organised for me to refer back to.

CD covers and digipaks that I like

From this task I learnt the digipaks that I liked and what I didnt like. This gave me the chance to decide what I will include and what I wouldnt. It also made me decide what theme I would go with and how I could present it. This would help me in the future with this task as I would follow the digipak style that I liked when creating my own and follow the conventions.
